18-16. Image Transfer ATVC Control
• The copier measures resistance of the Transfer Belt and adjusts the 1st and 2nd image
transfer output voltages so that the values of current that flows from the 1st and 2nd
Image Transfer Rollers are optimized.
• The image transfer ATVC adjustment is made when the Power Switch is turned ON.
✽ ATVC = Auto Transfer Voltage Control
1. 1st Image Transfer ATVC
• The 1st image transfer ATVC current for each color is output and resistance of the 1st
Image Transfer Roller of each color is measured.
• Based on the measurement taken, the 1st image transfer voltage for each color is deter-
mined.
2. 2nd Image Transfer ATVC
• The 2nd image transfer ATVC current is output and resistance of the 2nd Image Transfer
Roller is measured.
• The 2nd image transfer voltage is determined according to the measured resistance,
paper type, temperature, humidity, humidity table, and whether the cycle is for a color
copy or monochrome copy.
• Outline of Adjustment Steps
