MEDIA

For use by authorized service providers.
The drive or media may be dirty, or the media may be defective.
1. If optical media, clean the drive (for 6330 DVD-RAM see Type, model, and part number list for the
cleaning kit).
2. If tape media, clean the recording head in the tape unit.
3. Attempt the failing operation again.
Does the operation complete successfully?
v No: Replace the media.
This ends the procedure.
v Yes: The problem has been corrected.
This ends the procedure.

MEMCFG

For use by authorized service providers.
The system has encountered an invalid memory configuration.
For memory DIMM location information, refer to Memory locations and placement rules. For system
location details, refer to the following.
v For Model 270: See Locations - Model 270
v For Models 800 and 810: See Locations - Models 800 and 810
v For Model 820: See Locations - Model 820
v For Model 825: See Locations - Model 825
v For Model 890: See Locations - Models 870 and 890
For Models 270, 800, 810, and 820, the most likely cause of the problem is that there are memory
DIMMs on the system processor card and also memory DIMMs on a memory riser card. When a
memory riser card is used with DIMM memory, no DIMMs are allowed on the processor card.
This ends the procedure.
