b. Remove one of the AMDs from the system that was not previously removed during this
procedure. (Disregard an AMD SRC if it occurs during this step.)
c. Power on the system.
Does a power reference code occur?
v Yes: Have you removed all of the AMDs one at a time?
– No: Continue with the next step.
– Yes: Install all the AMDs and continue with step 8 (See page 168).
v No: The AMD that you removed in this step is the failing item.
This ends the procedure.
7. Perform the following:
a. Power off the system.
b. Install the AMD that was removed in step 6 (See page 167) in the original location.
c. Go to step 6b (See page 168).
8. Replace the following one at a time:
v V/S communication cable (SIG72) CB1 to CEC enclosure.
v Network Interface Controller/Clock Card M06.
v Processor backplane location MB1 (see symbolic FRU "SYSBKPL" on page 464 ), and processor
(location M03 or M04).
This ends the procedure.
9. Perform the following:
a. Reinstall one of the cards that you removed in step 2 (See page 167), in the following order:
v M01
v M02
v M05
b. Reconnect the ac power cable to the unit that you are working on.
c. Power on the system.
Does a power reference code occur?
v No: Continue with the next step.
v Yes: Exchange the last card that you reinstalled in this step.
This ends the procedure.
10. Have you reconnected all the cards?
v Yes: Replace the following one at a time:
– V/S communication cable (SIG72) CB1 to CEC enclosure.
– Network Interface Controller/Clock Card M06.
– Processor backplane location MB1 (see symbolic FRU "SYSBKPL" on page 464 ), and
processor (location M03 or M04).
This ends the procedure.
11. No: Repeat step 9 (See page 168), reinstalling next card.
