PIOCARD

For use by authorized service providers.
PIOCARD: PCI I/O card, IOP, or IOA.
The multi-adapter bridge hardware detected an error in an adapter card, IOP, or IOA. The failing
component is the card installed in the card location specified by the Direct Select Address (DSA).
1. If you are using the Service Action Log (SAL) and there is a card position given for this FRU, then that
is the location of the failing component. Go to step 3 (See page 416). Otherwise, perform the following:
v Determine the location of the card using the DSA in the SRC. Record the Direct Select Address
(DSA), which is word 7 of the SRC from the SAL display.
v Locate the card specified in the DSA by going to "Bus PIP PCIBUS-PIP1" on page 99. Return here
after locating the card.
v If you are working on a system Model 270 or 820, go to step 3 (See page 416). For all other system
models, continue with the next step.
2. Did "Bus PIP PCIBUS-PIP1" on page 99 identify a single card position?
v Yes: This is the location of the failing item. Continue with the next step.
v No: While referring to the remove and replace procedures for each card position, perform the
following: (You can find links to the locations information, and from there to the remove and replace
procedures, in the table at the end of this procedure.)
