An Integrated xSeries Server for iSeries service call may be needed to fix the problem on the Integrated
xSeries Server (IXS).
Note: An error condition is indicated by the blinking frame ID on the IXS card. When an error occurs, it
can take up to ten minutes for the frame ID to start blinking, and up to one minute (after the error is reset)
for the frame ID to stop blinking.
1. Choose the system reference code (SRC) you are receiving:
v For SRC 1xxx-8910: Check the system error light (amber exclamation mark, see figure below) on
the Integrated xSeries Server (IXS) Panel.
– If the system error light is on, call your Integrated xSeries Server (IXS) service provider.
– If the system error light is not on, see symbolic FRU "TWRCARD" on page 470.
This ends the procedure.
v For SRC 1xxx-8920: Call your Integrated xSeries Server (IXS) service provider.
Note: For SRC 1xxx-8910 or 8920, removal of the ac line cord on the Integrated xSeries Server
(IXS) Unit is required to reset the flashing frame indicating LEDs on the TWRCARD.
This ends the procedure.
v For SRC 1xxx-8940, 8941, 8942, 8943: Check the R485 cable connections for proper seating to
resolve the problem (SRC).
Note: After reseating the R485 cable it may take up to one minute for the SRC to reset
2. If the problem remains unresolved after reseating and replacing the cable by performing symbolic FRU
"CBLALL" on page 298, call your Integrated xSeries Server (IXS) service provider.
