symbolic FRU "BPRPWR" on page 288.
– If installed, BPR 2 on the other side not referenced by the error code that sent you to this
procedure.
– BPCPWR on the other side not referenced by the error code that sent you to this procedure. See
symbolic FRU "BPCPWR" on page 287.
– Bulk power enclosure (BPE) on the other side not referenced by the error code that sent you to
this procedure. See Bulk power enclosure assembly - Models 870 and 890 for the part number
and a link to the remove and replace procedure.
After each FRU is exchanged, is the error code that sent you to this procedure still reported?
– No: The problem has been corrected. Go to Verify the repair.
This ends the procedure.
– Yes: Replace the next FRU on the list. If all FRUs on the list have been replaced, call your next
level of support.
4. Inform the customer that the line voltage into the bulk power assembly (BPA) is missing or too low, and
needs to be checked.
Can the line voltage be checked now?
v No: Defer this repair until the customer's utility can check the line voltage.
This ends the procedure.
v Yes: Continue with the next step.
5. Does the customer utility voltage check out okay?
v No: The customer must restore utility voltage.
This ends the procedure.
v Yes: Exchange the line cord, and continue with the next step.
6. Press the (white) Service complete button. Is the error code that sent you to this procedure still
reported?
v No: The problem has been corrected. Go to Verify the repair.
This ends the procedure.
v Yes: Call your next level of support.
This ends the procedure.

Note: Read the Danger and caution notices in the "MAPPWR" on page 364 introduction before performing
this procedure.
1. Check the position of the on/off switch on the BPRs. Is the switch in the ON position (to the left)?
v Yes: Continue with the next step.
v No: Set the switch to the ON position (to the left), and press the (white) Service Complete button.
Then, go to Verify the repair.
This ends the procedure.
2. Press the (white) Service Complete button. Is the error code that sent you to this procedure still
reported?
v No: This was a transient condition. The condition no longer exists. No service action is required.
This ends the procedure.
v Yes: Continue with the next step.
3. Check all LEDs on the bulk power assembly (BPA) that is not referenced by the error code that sent
you to this procedure. Are they okay?
v No: Defer this repair until the failure on the other BPA can be repaired.
This ends the procedure.
