6. Torque wheel hub nut to 80 ft-lbs (108 Nm) and install
a NEW cotter pin. Tighten nut slightly if necessary to
align cotter pin holes.

Wheel Hub Castle Nut:
80 ft-lbs (108 Nm)
7. Install wheel and (4) wheel nuts. Torque wheel nuts
to specification.
Wheel Nuts:
Steel Wheels: 27 ft-lbs (37 Nm)
Aluminum Wheels: 30 ft-lbs + 90° (1/4 turn)
8. Rotate wheel and check for smooth operation. Bend
both ends of cotter pin around end of spindle in
different directions.

REAR DRIVE SHAFT

Drive Shaft Removal

1. Elevate rear of vehicle and safely support machine
under the frame area.
CAUTION
Serious injury may result if machine tips or falls.
Be sure machine is secure before beginning this
service procedure. Wear eye protection when
removing bearings and seals.
2. Remove the (4) wheel nuts and remove rear wheel.

3. Remove the cotter pin and loosen the rear wheel hub
castle nut. Remove the nut, and (2) cone washers
from the rear wheel hub assembly.

4. Remove the two brake caliper mounting bolts. 
CAUTION: Do not hang the caliper by the brake line.
Use wire to hang caliper to prevent damage to the
brake line.
5. Remove the rear wheel hub assembly.
