Manual Transmission (If
equipped)
If your vehicle is equipped with a
manual transmission, this is your
vehicle's shift pattern.
Shift into 1 (first) only when
vehicle speed is below 30 km/h
(20 mph).
If you have come to a complete
stop and find it hard to shift into 1
(first), shift into Neutral and
release the clutch pedal. Press the
clutch pedal again and shift into 1
(first).
NOTE:
Your manual transmission has a
lock out feature which prevents
shifting from fifth gear to
reverse.
NOTICE
Shift to R (Reverse) only after
your vehicle is stopped. Shifting
to Reverse while your vehicle is
moving could damage your
transmission.
This damage would not be
covered by your warranty.
When turning off the engine and
parking the vehicle, place your
manual transmission in reverse
gear and firmly apply the parking
brake.
