Turn the ignition off and try again.
If the engine still does not start and
the key appears to be undamaged,
try another ignition key. You may
also want to check the fuse. See
"Fuses and Circuit Breakers" for
more information. If the engine
still does not start, have the vehicle
serviced. If the engine does start,
the first key may be faulty. See
your dealer to have a new key
made.
If you're ever driving and the Secu-
rity System Light comes on and
stays on, you may have a problem.
The engine will restart, but your
vehicle will not have the protec-
tion of the theft deterrent system.
See your dealer for service.
Additional keys can be obtained
from an authorized dealer.
Up to ten keys can be
programmed for your vehicle.
See the following, later in this
section, for more information:
• Programming Additional Keys
Section 3
Do not leave the key or the device
that disarms the theft deterrent
system in the vehicle.
If a key is lost or damaged, see
your dealer or a locksmith who can

service Pass-Key
III Plus systems
to make and program a new key.
Modifications made to this system
by anyone other than an autho-
rized service facility may void
authorization to use the system.
