If the rear head rest interferes with
the installation of the child
restraint, remove the head rest.
See the following, earlier in this
section, for more information:
• Head Restraints and Head Rests
- Rear Head Rests
Store the head rests in the space
provided on the back panel.
To remove the child restraint,
disconnect the anchors where the
seatback meets the back of the
seat cushion. Then pull the loop,
located on the outboard side of
the seatback, forward until you
hear a click.
Fold the seatback slightly forward
to access the top strap anchors
and unhook the top strap (if
equipped).
Section 2
Remove the head rest from the
storage location on the back
panel.
Lift the seatback part way and rein-
stall the head rest.
If you have been in a collision, the
anchoring system may have been
damaged. Some parts may need
to be repaired or replaced. Have
the anchoring system inspected
after a collision.
Repairs may be necessary even if
the anchoring system was not
used at the time of the collision.
