NOTICE
Contact between the child
restraint's lower attachment
parts and the vehicle's safety
belt assembly may result in
damage.
When securing unused safety
belts behind the child restraint,
make sure there is no contact
between the child restraint's
lower attachment parts and the
vehicle's safety belt assembly.
NOTICE
Folding an empty rear seat with
the safety belts secured may
cause damage to the safety belt
or the seat.
Always remember to return the
safety belts to their normal,
stowed position before folding
the rear seat.
To secure a child restraint
designed for this system, use the
following procedure:
1. Place the child restraint on the
seat.

2. If the child restraint manufac-
turer recommends that the
top strap be attached, pull the
seatback forward to access the
top strap anchors
.
3. Attach the top strap to the top
strap anchor
.
Note:
Do not secure the top strap
to the seatback latch
.

er in this section.
Do not tighten the top strap
yet.
