Problems on the Road
CAUTION
Steam from an overheated
engine can burn you badly.
Stay away from the engine if
you see or hear steam coming
from it.
When there is no sign of steam,
you may carefully open the hood.
CAUTION
An electric cooling fan can start
even if the engine is not
running. Be careful around any
underhood electric fan.

CAUTION
Fans or other moving engine
parts can injure you badly. Keep
your hands, hair, tools and
loose clothing away from
moving parts.
If the engine is overheated, the
engine cooling fans should be
running. If not, keep the engine off
and have the vehicle serviced.
If the coolant in the coolant tank
has been boiling, do not touch it
until it has cooled down.
The level in the coolant recovery
tank should be at or above the
FULL COLD (full cold) mark.
If the coolant level is low, there
may be a leak in the cooling
system.
CAUTION
Engine parts may be very hot.
Do not touch them.
CAUTION
Do not run the engine if there is
a leak. All the coolant could leak
out and cause an engine fire.
You could be burned.
