Automatic Headlight System
When activated, this automatic
headlight feature turns your head-
lights and other operating lights
on and off by sensing how dark it
is outside.
Note:
The automatic headlights may
be disabled even if the control is
in the AUTO position.

Do one of the following to enable
the automatic headlights:
• If the exterior light control is
turned to or , rotate the
knob to the AUTO position
• If the exterior light control is
turned to the AUTO position
, rotate the knob to the off
position , then release it. The
knob will return to the AUTO
position.
In order for this feature to work
properly, be sure not to cover the
light sensor on the top of the
instrument panel.
Then, if it is dark outside, your
vehicle's headlights and operating
lights will turn on automatically
when the ignition is turned on and
the transmission is shifted out of P
(Park).
The automatic headlights may also
turn on when you drive through a
low-light area.
