Starting and Operating Instructions
To test the system:
1. Get inside the vehicle and
close all the doors.
2. From inside the vehicle, use
the remote keyless entry trans-
mitter to lock the doors and
arm the system.
3. Unlock a door with the man-
ual door lock and open the
door.
The alarm will sound.

To turn the alarm off, press the
unlock button on the keyless entry
transmitter or start the engine.
If the alarm does not work but the
lights flash, the horn fuse may be
blown.
If the problem is fuse-related, see
"Fuses and Circuit Breakers" in
Section 4 for additional informa-
tion.
If the alarm still does not sound or
the front turn signals do not flash,
see your dealer for service.
■ REMOTE KEYLESS
ENTRY
This option allows you to lock or
unlock your doors from up to 9 m
(30 feet) away.
Operating the remote keyless
entry system may interact with the
vehicle's theft deterrent system.
See "Theft Deterrent System"
earlier in this section for more
information.
Modifications made to this system
by anyone other than an autho-
rized service facility may void
authorization to use the system.
