5. Store the head rests in the
space provided on the back
panel.
6. Repeat the procedure for the
other side of the seat.
Unfolding the Seatback
CAUTION
A seatback that is not locked in
place properly could move
during a sudden stop or colli-
sion. People in the vehicle could
be injured.
Push and pull on the seatback
to check that it is locked into
place.

CAUTION
A safety belt that is twisted or
improperly attached or routed
won't provide the protection
needed in a crash. The person
wearing the belt could be seri-
ously injured. After raising a
rear seatback, always make sure
that the safety belts are not
twisted and that they are prop-
erly attached and routed.
1. Remove the head rest from
the storage location on the
back panel.
2. Lift the seatback part way and
reinstall the head rest.
3. Push rearward on the seatback
until it locks in the upright
position.
