1.3 To Eliminate Color Unevenness and Density Unevenness

Before the adjustment
The gray background is uneven in density.
Explanation
When a halftone image such as gray is printed, density unevenness or color unevenness sometimes appears on
the copy. Causes of such unevenness include faulty CMYK color registration, the life in consumables and
failure to make the optimum adjustment between the paper and transfer. To obtain a clear image without
unevenness, perform color registration control.
Procedures
* The service technician must perform the adjustment in accordance with the procedures below.
(1) Enter adjustment mode [05], select code [407], and press the [START] button.
• Color registration control will be forcibly performed to correct the print timing lag.
After executing the color registration control, print and check the image quality.
If further image quality adjustments are still necessary, use the next procedure.

The image is clear without uneven density.
