3.4.2 To Improve Color Reproducibility of Gray Area of CMYK Data

Procedures
* Perform the adjustment in accordance with the procedures below.
* All the adjustments are made by the service technician, and by the user.
* This adjustment can improve color reproducibility just by making the following settings from the printer driver
without downloading a profile.
* This adjustment is available only for PostScript printing under Windows and Macintosh OS.
(1) Open the properties of the printer driver and change the "CMYK Simulation Method" settings.
For Windows (PostScript)
• Use the following procedures (a) and (b) to change the "CMYK Simulation Method".
(a) Open the properties of the printer driver, select "ColorWise" on the "Fiery Printing" tab, and click the
[Expert Settings] button.
(b) Select "Full (Source GCR)" or "Quick" from among the "CMYK Simulation Method" options in
Expert Color Settings and click the [OK] button.
