3. Printer-specific Adjustments
(3) Click the [Printing Preferences] button on the "General" tab to open "Printing Preferences", select
"ColorWise" on the "Fiery Printing" tab, then click the [Expert Settings] button.
(4) Select "Full (Source GCR)" or "Quick" from among the "CMYK Simulation Method" options in Expert
Color Settings and click the [OK] button.
Cautions after the completion of the adjustment
The adjustment may possibly cause poor reproducibility of fine gray lines and light gray areas, a dark gray area
to be blurred, and an entire print image to look rough containing black (because of K toner positively used).
Therefore, perform the adjustment carefully, while checking the printout.
Remarks
• For PCL printing, a black area of text and graphics is printed only with the K toner, by default.
• For the Microsoft Office XP or later, this adjustment is effective only for text.
