2.10 To Make An Image Fully Solid and Dense

Before the adjustment
The graph does not look solid.
Explanation
When thick text such as of a logo is copied, the internal area sometimes does not look solid. To make the image
look solid and denser and obtain a sharper copy image, set the original mode and make the density adjustment.
Procedures
* Perform the adjustment in accordance with the procedures below.
* All the adjustments are made by the service technician, and by the user.
(1) Select the "BASIC" menu from the Control Panel and set the original mode to "AI".
* In the AI mode, the type of original is identified and a copy is obtained with the optimum setting.
However, note that an original with complex structure cannot be identified. In the AI mode, the printing
also slightly slows down because copies are made while identifying the type of original.
After the setting, make a copy and check the image quality.
If further image quality adjustments are still necessary, use the next procedure.
(2) Select the "BASIC" menu from the Control Panel and press the [ ] button to increase the copy density.
Cautions after the completion of the adjustment
The adjustment may possibly cause a dark or deep area such as in a photo to be blurred. Therefore, perform the
adjustment carefully, while checking the printout.
2. Copier-specific Adjustments
After the adjustment
The graph looks solid, denser, and sharper.
