Rear ABS Wheel Speed Sensor
Rear ABS Pulser Ring
Removal
Removal
1.
Check the pulser ring for damaged, missing or
cracked teeth or distortion. Renew the pulser ring as
necessary.

Remove the rear wheel (see page 15-9).
2.
Remove the five bolts and detach the pulser ring
from the rear brake disc.

1.
Remove the seat (see page 16-9).
2.
Disconnect the battery, negative (black) lead first.
3.
Remove the left hand side panel (see page 16-10>.
4.
Disconnect the wheel speed sensor multiplug.
5.
Release the wheel speed sensor harness from its
retaining P-c1ips.
6.
Release the bolts securing the wheel speed sensor to
the rear brake caliper carrier, and remove the sensor.
Installation
Installation
1.
Position the wheel speed sensor to the brake caliper
carrier and tighten the fixings to 9
Nm.
2.
Secure the wheel speed sensor harness to its
retaining clips. Tighten the P-c1ip fixings to
4.5 Nm.
3.
Connect the wheel speed sensor multiplug.
4.
Refit the left hand side panel (see page 16-10>.
5.
Connect the battery, (red) lead first.
6.
Fit the seat (see page 16-9).
1.
Locate the pulser ring on to the rear brake disc and
tighten the fixings to
5 Nm.
2.
Refit the rear wheel (see page 15-10>.
