2 Check cable for short circuit:
—
ECM pin 19 to earth
3 Check cable continuity:
— ECM pin 1 to sensor pin 3
— ECM pin 19 to sensor pin 2
— ECM pin 34 to sensor pin 1
4 Check cable for short circuit:
— ECM pin 19 to ECM pin 1
— ECM pin 19 to ECM pin 34
5 Reconnect harness, clear fault code and
run bike to verify fault cleared

Locate and rectify wiring fault, proceed to
test 5
Proceed to test 4
Locate and rectify wiring fault, proceed to
test 5
Renew road speed sensor, proceed to test
5
Locate and rectify wiring fault, proceed to
test 5
Action complete — quit test
