Manifold Absolute Pressure (MAP) Sensor

P0107 (left)
MAP sensor circuit short circuit to View 8. note 'freeze frame' data if
P1687 (right>
ground
available.
View 8. note 'sensor' data.
Ensure sensor connector is secure.
Disconnect ECM and proceed to
pinpoint test 1:
P0108 (left)
MAP sensor circuit, short circuit to Disconnect ECM and MAP sensor and
P1688 (right>
supply or open circuit proceed to test 4:
Pll0S (left)
MAP sensor pipe fault Check connection/condition of pipes
Pll06 (right>
from MAP sensors to throttle body

1 Check cable and terminal integrity: OK Disconnect MAP sensors and proceed to
test 2
- ECM pin A28 Faulty Rectify fault, proceed to test 6
- ECM pin 824
- ECM pin 820
- ECM pin 801
2 Check cable for short circuit: OK Proceed to test 3
- ECM pin A28 to earth
Short circuit Locate and rectify wiring fault, proceed to
- ECM pin 824 to earth
test 6
- ECM pin A28 to ECM pin 820
- ECM pin 824 to ECM pin 820
3 Check cable for continuity: OK Renew relevant MAP pressure sensor,
- ECM pin 801 to relevant MAP sensor
proceed to test 6
pin 3
Open circuit Locate and rectify wiring fault, proceed to
test 6
4 Check cable for short circuit:
OK Proceed to test 5
- ECM pin A28 to ECM pin 801
Short circuit Locate and rectify wiring fault, proceed to
- ECM pin 824 to ECM pin 801 test 6
5 check cable continuity:
OK Renew relevant MAP pressure sensor,
- ECM pin A28 to left hand MAP sensor
proceed to test 6

Open circuit Locate and rectify wiring fault, proceed to test
- ECM pin 824 to right hand MAP sensor 6
pin 1
- ECM pin 820 to relevant MAP sensor
pin 2
6 Reconnect harness, dear fault code and run OK Action complete, quit test
engine
Fault still present Contact Triumph service
