tank - installation
1.
Position the fuel tank to the frame and install the rear
mounting bolt.
2.
Pivot the front of the tank upwards and refit the tank
support T3880806 to the frame and tank (see page
70-85>.
3.
Tighten the rear fuel tank mounting bolt to 9 Nm.
4.
Reconnect the fuel feed hose by gently pushing
inwards until the hose engages with a click.
5.
Slide the double check latch to the locked position
until the release buttons are covered. If the latch will
not slide into position, then the fuel hose is not fully
home on its spigot and must therefore be refitted
correctly.

Attach and connect the breather pipe and harnesses
to the fuel tank as noted/marked prior to removal.

Lower and secure the fuel tank (see page 10-86).
8.
Reconnect the battery, positive <identified with red
tape) lead first.
9.
Refit the rider's seat (see page 17-9).
Fuel Pressure Checking

Fuel pressure is checked using service tool 13880001.

Raise and support the fuel tank (see page 10-85>.
The fuel hose will contain fuel under pressure. When
releasing the fuel hose, wear eye protection and
protective clothing and ensure that the pressurised fuel
is not exposed to naked flames, light bulbs, etc. A fire,
causing personal injury and damage to property, may
result from fuel exposure to naked flames, light bulbs
and any other source of ignition.
Note:
The fuel supply system is fitted with a check
valve to prevent fuel flow from the tank when
the hose is disconnected. It is not necessary to
plug the connection.
