As the mounted TR-120 board is not a specified service
part, it must be replaced together with the whole T tension
regulator assembly.
After replacing the T tension regulator assembly, check
and adjust tape running (Section 6-12).
1-25-36. TX-96 Board

Since a high frequency circuit is mounted on the TX-96
board, replacement of electrical parts and adjustment of
boards are impossible.
Be sure to replace the whole board when the TX-96 board
is malfunctioning.
After replacing this board, check that the audio and video
are recorded/played back normally to the cassette tape.
1-25-37. VPR-79 Board
After repairing this board, perform the SD video system
alignment (Section 8-6), and then check the that the analog
composite output from each channel and the display image
on the color display are normal.

1-26. Memory Stick (or Memory Card)

The Memory Stick or memory card can be used to save
and read the menu, and update internal software from the
memu of the unit.

When using a memory card, remove the Memory Stick
adaptor from the PCMCIA card slot.

JEIDA/PCMCIA, Fujitsu or AMD types, etc.)
Formatting the Memory Stick (or Memory Card)
Before using a Memory Stick (or memory card) with this
unit, format it beforehand.
This formatting deletes all the data.
For details, refer to the Operation Manual of this unit.
1. Insert the Memory Stick (or memory card) into the
exclusive slot of the system setup panel.
2. Turn on the power, and display the MEMORY CARD
menu.
(HOME menu → SET UP → [F2] → MEMORY
CARD menu)

MEMORY CARD menu is displayed only when the
memory card is inserted in the unit.
3. Press the [F1] (FORMAT CARD) key.
. A confirmation message appears.
. To cancel formatting, press the CLR key while the
confirmation message is being displayed.
4. While pressing the [SFT] (SHIFT) key, press the [F1]
(FORMAT CARD) key.
