3-3-2. ROM MAINTENANCE Menu
The ROM MAINTENANCE is used to download ROM
data of this unit.
To display the ROM MAINTENANCE menu, press the
[F2] (ROM MAINTE) key in the MAINTENANCE menu.

[F1] (SYS1 DOWN) Key
Performs the downloading of SYS1 ROM data.
[F2] (SYS2 DOWN) Key
Performs the downloading of SYS2 ROM data.
[F3] (SV DOWN) Key
Performs the downloading of SV ROM data.
[F4] (CP DOWN) Key
Performs the downloading of CP ROM data.
[F7] (FC/VPR APR) Key
Performs the downloading of ROM data
(Option HKSR-5001), VPR-79, and APR-62 boards.
[F8] (EQ/HPR SYS) Key
Performs the downloading of ROM data
and HPR-8/HPR-8A boards.
[F9] (IRC/HIF) Key
Performs the downloading of ROM data
IRC-5A and HIF-8 boards.
[F10] (EXIT) Key
Exits the ROM MAINTENANCE menu and returns to the
MAINTENANCE menu.
*: Besides the program for PLD, includes the internal program of the MPU.
(Refer to Section 1-26.)
However, the program for PLD supported by the e-production system
cannot be downloaded with these menus.
For downloading the program for PLD supported by the e-production
system, refer to Section 1-22.

Execution Procedure

A Memory Stick (or memory card) with the new version
software is required for updating the software.
Please contact your local Sony Sales Office/Service Center
to update the software.
1. Connect a Memory Stick (or memory card) that the
new version software is written in, to the system setup
panel.
2. When a tape has been inserted, eject it.
3. In the ROM MANINTENANCE menu, press the [F1]
(SYS1 DOWN) Key to [F9] (IRC/HIF) key to select a
ROM to be downloaded.

4. Select ROM data to be downloaded using [&] or [*]
key, and check the current ROM version and the ROM
version to be downloaded.
