Cooling System
K -
In addition, detach bottom coolant hose at
oil cooler -arrow- and drain the remaining
coolant.
Filling system
Select coolant additives from the ŠKODA
Genuine Parts Catalogue or also from the list of
approved coolants ⇒ Inspection and Main-
tenance; Replacing coolant
Recommended mixing ratios:
Antifreeze
protection
down to
-25 °C
-35 °C
Antifreeze concentration must not exceed
1)
60 % otherwise antifreeze protection and
cooling efficiency will be reduced at higher
concentrations.
The quantity of coolant may differ depend-

ing on the vehicle equipment.

Screw in coolant drain plug.
K -
Pour in coolant up to max. marking on
expansion reservoir.

Start engine, run at about 1500 rpm for not
more than 2 minutes and pour in coolant up
to the overflow hole at the expansion
reservoir.

Close expansion reservoir.
-
Run engine until fan cuts in.
-
Inspect coolant level. When engine is at
operating temperature, the coolant level must
be at the max. marking, when the engine is
cold it must be between the min. and max.
markings; top up coolant if necessary.
Warning!
Hot steam may escape when the expansion
reservoir is opened. Cover over cap with a cloth
and open carefully.
