5. ENGINE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION

ENGINE REMOVAL

Remove the seat and fuel tank.
Remove the left and right side cover.
Disconnect the fuel tube from the auto fuel
valve.
Disconnect the speedometer wire coupler
from the hardness wire.
Disconnect the A.C. generator and starter
motor wire coupler.
Loosen the air cleaner connecting tube band
bolt.
Remove the carburetor.
Remove the spark plug cap.
• Drain the engine oil before engine
removal.
• The exhaust muffler temperature is
extremely high. Remove it when the
engine is cold.
Remove the two exhaust muffler joint lock
nuts.
