Installing a 5.25-inch Device

If a device already occupies the 5.25-inch drive bay, remove it before
installing the replacement drive (see "Removing the 5.25-inch Device" on
page 53). If the 5.25-inch drive bay is empty, remove the RF shield that
covers it.
Turn the system power off.

2. Open the system by removing the top cover.
3. If no 5.25-inch device is currently installed, remove the metal RF
shield that protects the 5.25-inch device bay.
Attach mounting rails to the 5.25-inch device.

From the front of the chassis, insert the drive into the bay.

6. Connect the device cable to the device, making sure that pin 1 on both
cable and device are aligned.
