Locate the diskette connector or hard drive connector on the system
board (depending on the device you are installing).
Connect the drive cable to the corresponding connector on the system

connectors. On most standard cables, pin 1 is designated by a colored
wire on the cable. In some cases, the device connector is keyed.
Connect the device to the power supply using an available power

3.5-inch Devices

The system drawer supports as many as six 3.5-inch devices. The majority
of these devices are expected to be hard drives. However, the system ships
with a 3.5-inch diskette drive as well.
Replacing the 3.5-inch Diskette Drive
The system ships with a standard 1.44 MB capacity 3.5-inch diskette drive.
If this drive fails and must be replaced, follow the instructions below.
Replacing the 3.5-inch Diskette Drive
1.
Turn the system power off.
Open the system by removing the top cover.

Remove the drive bay assembly (see "Removing the Drive Bay

Assembly" on page 52).
4.
Remove the four screws securing the drive onto the top of the drive
bay assembly.
