TDM Serial Interface

The TDM Serial Interface (VI68714) is presented on a 15-way D-type female connector and supports
RS449, V.35 and RS232 interfaces. Refer to the section above for installation details.
2.4.7.2

ISDN Basic Rate S0/T0 Interface

The ISDN basic rate S0/T0 interface card presents an RJ45 connector and is fitted
with its own blanking plate. Follow the same procedure as above for the TDM
ISDN
Serial Interface.
2.4.7.3

ISDN Basic Rate U0 Interface

The ISDN basic rate U0 interface card presents an RJ45 connector and is fitted
with its own blanking plate. Follow the same procedure as above for the TDM
ISDN
Serial Interface.
2.4.7.4

E1 Link Card

The E1 link card (V168708) provides an aggregate connection using a framed or unframed 2.048 MHz E1
link. The card provides both an RJ45 connector interface and dual BNC Rx/TX interface. Use the one
appropriate to your network equipment.
NOTE: The E1 link card can only be fitted to a V100 revision D4 or later, or to a revision D3 unit
modified to MR68700D3 or later.
NOTE: ISDN signalling is not supported on the aggregate link.
On the V100 motherboard, JP21 – JP23 and JP25 & JP27 need to be set to the E1 position rather than the
ISDN position:
a. JP21, JP22, JP23 - Fit links in position 1-2 for E1, closest to the left hand side of the board viewed from
the rear, (2-3 are default for TDM/ISDN)
b. JP25, JP27 - Fit links in position 1-2 for E1, farthest from the rear of the board viewed from the rear
(2-3 are default for TDM/ISDN)
