The TSLOT ASSIGN Menu

It is possible to hire a fractional E1 link from Telcos in which not all of the 31 available timeslots are
allocated to carry data (only a maximum of 31 timeslots are available to carry data on a structured link as
timeslot zero is used for framing). Hiring a fractional E1 link will reduce the cost.
If the E1 link card is connected to a fractional link, it is necessary to describe which of the 31 timeslots are
available to carry the aggregate data. This is done via the TSLOT ASSIGN menu.
The menu has one entry for each of the possible data timeslots, labelled "TSLOT 1" through "TSLOT 31",
each entry can be turned on or off by a toggle item. The entries can be navigated using the arrow keys
and the entry toggled using the space bar. The current available bandwidth in Kbps is displayed beneath
the entry table at the right hand side of the screen. When the aggregate is established, the available
bandwidth is also displayed on the status bar. Two buttons are provided to ease configuration, one
labelled "SET all" which turns all timeslots on and one labelled "Unset All" which turns all timeslots off.
