MPEG High Quality Audio Card
The High-quality Audio Card (VI68704) presents four XLR-style connectors for LEFT
IN, LEFT OUT, RIGHT IN, RIGHT OUT analogue audio signals. The LEFT IN and LEFT
OUT connectors are also used for connections in AES digital mode.
This card supports two separate high-quality channels, which may be used for
mono, dual mono, stereo or joint stereo feeds. The rear panel is as follows:
The card is fitted with a number of jumper links which configure the hardware according to the
application. All other configuration changes are made by software selection.

The jumpers are set when the card is commissioned and should not need to be changed thereafter.
Jumpers JP9, JP10, JP11 and JP17 are pin headers used for factory diagnostics and are not referred to
below. The Factory Default Jumper Settings are shown in bold italics:
