Man-Machine Interface (MMI)

The MMI with its display and input keys is a good method for establishing "initial
contact" with X4100/200/300. You should carry out the following initial steps
with the MMI (see

set the desired display language
enter the IP address and netmask
You then carry out the rest of the configuration steps with the Setup Tool.

Connecting Over the Serial Interface

Connecting over the serial interface is very suitable if you carry out an initial
configuration on
X4100/200/300
