7.2.8 Transfer of DNS and WINS IP Addresses to
WAN Partner
A Domain Name Server (

(name resolution). Domain Name Servers form a hierarchical tree structure. As
soon as a request is sent to a Domain Name Server, it tries to execute name
resolution using its internal tables. If it cannot find the name, it asks a higher-
level DNS that it knows.
