Safety Status Bar
When the Safety Status Bar is enabled, a status bar with six boxes shows the status of
certain functions. Any warning or alarm condition is identified by the red color to indicate
possible risk.
To activate this function follow the procedure:
1. Press the
2. Tap on DISPLAY. The Chart Display menu appears.
3. Tap on SAFETY STATUS BAR.
4. The menu now shows the following selections:
On: The Safety Status Bar is shown
Off: The Safety Status Bar is not shown (default)
Icon: In this mode the Safety Status Bar is not shown, rather a Warning Icon
will be shown in the top right corner on the Chart page when an alarm condition
is met.
5. Tap on the desired selection.
6. Tap on
to exit to the Chart page.

Currents Prediction

This feature only operates in areas where tidal buoys are present and when the CPN Series
Chart Plotter has a GPS fix. Tidal stream arrows are shown on the charts, indicating the
direction and strength of the Tide:
