System Configuration Page
The ISS 506 switcher downloads the System Configuration page (figure 6-3) when
you click the Configuration tab. The screen consists of fields in which you can view
and edit IP administration and system settings. The Email Alerts and Passwords
pages can be accessed by clicking the appropriate link. See appendix A, "Ethernet
Connection", for basic information about IP addresses and subnetting.

IP Settings fields
The IP Settings fields provide a location for viewing and editing settings unique
to the Ethernet interface. After editing any of the settings on this page, click the
Submit button at the bottom of the page.
Unit Name field
The Unit Name field contains the name used as the "from" information when the
switcher e-mails alerts. This name field can be changed to any valid name, up to
24 alphanumeric characters.
N The following characters are invalid in the name:
DHCP radio buttons
The DHCP On radio button directs the switcher to ignore any entered IP addresses
and to obtain its IP address from a Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol (DHCP)
server (if the network is DHCP capable). The DHCP Off radio button turns DHCP
off. Contact the local system administrator to determine the correct choice for this
setting.
