Adjustments

The mechanical and electrical adjustments which may be performed on the
printer, if needed, are listed below.

Platen Adjustment

Follow the instruction below to adjust the platen perpendicular to the
centerplate (refer to Figure 4–2).
1. Turn off the printer, and open the printer access cover.
2. Unlatch and raise the printhead.
3. Rest the thick part of the square on the platen and the other edge on the
centerplate.
NOTE: If the square is parallel with the centerplate do not perform this adjustment.
4. Loosen the three (3) screws securing the lower bearing pate.
5. Raise the bearing plate until the square is parallel with the centerplate
and tighten the screws.
