2. Record Programming
Possible messages in the dialogue line
If the » Reserve time « symbol is negative (–) and highlighted
in red, this indicates that a cassette with insufficient playing
time has been inserted, or the sum of all TIMER recording
times is too large.
If the message » Record period « appears instead of the
» Reserve time « message, this means that ...
... no cassette has been inserted;
... if the cassette is protected against new recording it will be
ejected;
... the playing time of the cassette was not recognized.
If a red line with the message » Coll « appears (the TIMER
positions concerned are highlighted in red), this indicates
that the recording times of the TIMER positions overlap each
other.
In this case, change the data of one TIMER position by per-
forming the following steps: press the
and select the timer with the
button. Then select the data you want to change with the

button, enter the new data, and confirm the data
line step by step with the
If you are still in the » Record Programming « mode, the mes-
sage » Record beginning soon « will appear ten minutes befo-
re the beginning of the recording.

you must immediately exit the record programming mode so
that the recorder can begin recording.

Interrupting the record stand-by mode
If you have programmed TIMER positions and wish to use
the recorder when it is in record stand-by mode, or you want
to terminate the TIMER recording, then:
press the
button on the recorder,
the cassette is automtically ejected;
or
press the
button on the remote control.
The TIMER data disappear from the display of the recorder
and the TIMER symbol flashes.
The record stand-by mode is now interrupted.
Select the desired function.
Reactivating the record stand-by mode
Insert a cassette with sufficient playing time, wait until the
tape measurement is completed, and the press the
(TIMER) button.
The remaining playing time appears briefly in the recorder´s
display.
If » CASS N

instead of the cassette number, you must enter the number if
you want to archive the cassette.
Enter the cassette number as a three-place number with the
numeric buttons
The recorder is once again in the record stand-by mode and
the TIMER recordings will be made at the programmed times.
