4. Special Functions
Preparing the Insert function
Locate the tape position where the recording to be inserted
should end, then press the K
The different insert options
Insert
Press the button once.
INSERT
This electronically marks the tape position.
Display on the recorder: » I N S E R T «.
Only the new picture signal is inserted; the sound of the old
recording on the mono (longitudinal) track is recorded onto
the helical track of the tape.
The hours/minutes display is automatically switched to the 5-
digit tape length indication. The display is automatically reset
to » 0:00:00 «. In playback mode (reverse picture search or
reverse play), locate the tape position where the recording to
be inserted is to begin.
