Teletext Operation with this Recorder

Teletext is a service offered by TV stations free of charge; it is
transmitted together with the TV signal, processed by the recor-
der, and then finally made visible on the screen of the TV set.
Teletext consists of a large number of text pages containing
information such as sports and political news, stock market pri-
ces, weather forecasts, and much more.
The Teletext information offered, as well as the organization and
set-up of the individual pages, differs from TV station to TV sta-
tion.
Preparation:
Switch on the TV set.
Select the AV programme position for the video recorder on
the TV set.
Pull out the second level of the remote control.
Selecting a TV or satellite programme

Teletext pages you wish to see,

to select the satellite programme whose Teletext pages you
wish to see.
You can also select the programme position as a one or two-
place number with the numeric buttons
TOP-text mode (Table Of Pages)
With the advanced development of the conventional Teletext
mode, you no longer need to enter the numbers of the desired
Teletext pages. You can call up various topics, chapters, and
individual pages from the contents page by simply pressing a
button.

Selecting Teletext
Press the button to call up the » Info « menu.
ø
Select the » Teletext « line in the » Info menu « by pressing the
numeric button
The Teletext page 100 (= Teletext summary) appears.
Selecting a topic
Select the desired topic by pressing the
repeatedly.
The next topic is shown in the blue Info line.
Selecting a chapter
Select the desired chapter by pressing the
ton repeatedly.
The next chapter of the selected topic is shown in the yellow
Info line.
If the selected chapter consists of several individual pages,
these can be called up in a forward direction by pressing the
" (green) button and in reverse direction with the
(red) button.
You can also call up Teletext pages directly with the num-
bered buttons 1
Press the button to return to the Teletext page 100.

In order to enable quick access to the selected Teletex pages,
the recorder automatically stores three Teletext pages:
the page of the next topic;
the page of the next chapter;
the following page of the selected chapter;
