Description
CAUTION:
After you shut down an Ethernet interface with this command, it cannot forward packets, even if it is
physically connected.
Use shutdown to shut down an Ethernet interface.
Use undo shutdown to bring up an Ethernet interface.
By default, an Ethernet interface is in up state.
Examples
# Shut down and then bring up GigabitEthernet 1/0/1.

Parameters
10: Sets the interface speed to 10 Mbps. This keyword is not applicable to GE.
100: Sets the interface speed to 100 Mbps. This keyword is not applicable to 10-GE fiber ports.
1000: Sets the interface speed to 1000 Mbps.
10000: Sets the interface speed to 10000 Mbps.
auto: Enables the interface to negotiate a speed with its peer.
Description
Use speed to set the speed of an Ethernet interface.
Use undo speed to restore the default.
By default, the speed of an internal Ethernet interface is the maximum rate of the interface, and any other
Ethernet interface automatically negotiates a speed with the peer.
The 10 and 100 keywords are not applicable to internal Ethernet ports. The 10, 100
keywords are not applicable to fiber ports with SFP transceiver modules plugged. The 10, 100, and 1000
keywords are not applicable to fiber ports with SFP+ transceiver modules plugged. The
