• See Chapter 7 "Parts listing, TS200 Types 6522, 6523, 6524, 6525, 6526, 6528, 6529, and 6530" on page 209
to determine which components are customer replaceable units (CRU) and which components are field
replaceable units (FRU).
• If an action step is preceded by "(Trained service technician only)," that step must be performed only by
a trained service technician.

Action
1. Make sure that the server contains DIMMs.
2. Reseat the DIMMs.
3. Install DIMMs in the correct sequence (see
"Replacing a memory module" on page 147).
4. Clear CMOS memory to re-enable all the memory
connectors (see "System-board switches and
jumpers" on page 132).
1. Update the server firmware to the latest level (see
"Updating the firmware" on page 269).
2. Reseat the DIMMs and run the memory test (see
"Running the diagnostic programs" on page 67).
3. Replace the failing DIMM, which is indicated by a
lit LED on the system board.
1. Reseat the DIMMs, and then restart the server.
2. Remove the lowest-numbered DIMM pair of those
that are identified and replace it with an identical
pair of known good DIMMs, then restart the server.
3. Return the removed DIMMs, one pair at a time, to
their original connectors, restarting the server after
each pair, until a pair fails. Replace the DIMMs in
the failed pair with identical known good DIMMs,
restarting the server after each DIMM is installed.
Replace the failed DIMM. Repeat this step until you
have tested all removed DIMMs.
4. (Trained service technician only) Replace the
system board.
1. Reseat the DIMMs, and then restart the server.
2. Replace the following components one at a time, in
the order shown, then restart the server after each:
a. DIMM
b. (Trained service technician only) System board
Information only. Memory has been added, moved,
or changed.
