D Transporting the HP NetServer

The LT 6000r can be transported in its rack to another location by the following
methods.
When transporting the NetServer for a short distance over carpet or tiled floors,
secure the LT 6000r to the rack using the two shipping brackets supplied with the
NetServer. (Instructions for installing these brackets are given in the following
sections.) Ensure that all components are secured within the rack before
transporting the rack to a new location.
CAUTION
When transporting the NetServer over a greater distance, HP recommends one of
two possible methods:
l
If the equipment was originally delivered installed in an HP rack, and the
rack was shipped with a cushioned pallet, use the cushioned pallet and the
original packaging material to transport the rack to another location.
Ensure that the shipping brackets are properly installed to all of the
rack-mounted equipment before shipment.
l
If the rack is a non-HP rack, or is an HP rack not intended for integrated
shipment (i.e. does not include a cushioned pallet), HP recommends that
the equipment in the rack be removed and individually packaged for
transport.
