Media Flow Manager Administrator's Guide
Create or delete (with no) an <appliance ID> for a remote appliance to manage; also enter an
address and port number. NOTE: this will interrupt any active operations on this appliance
(e.g. applying a profile), as it will cause the connection to the appliance to be immediately
broken and reformed. Notes:

auth
password username <username> password [<password>]
user (default is admin) and password (default is empty) which are used for password
authentication. Select the defaults with the no form of the commands. If the positive
form of the password command is used with no password, the user is prompted for
the password; any entries echo only with the star (*) character, and the user must
enter the same string twice for confirmation.
ssh-dsa2
remote user (default is admin) and the name of the identity which are used for ssh-
dsa2 or ssh-rsa2 authentication. There is no default identity, so it must be specified if
ssh-dsa2 authentication is used. The identity is the name of an identity previously
created with one of the cmc auth commands.
authtype
be one of password (default), ssh-dsa2, or ssh-rsa2. Use no to reset the default.
check-status
global

comment
Use no cmc appliance <appliance_ID> comment to delete the comment.
connection
auto
connect to this appliance for management. If disabled, Media Flow Controller waits for
either a manual connection request, or for the client to initiate the connection.
reconnect [maintain]
immediately attempt to reconnect. If this attempt fails, the reconnection retry interval is
reset to its shortest value. The optional maintain parameter puts the appliance
temporarily into an auto-connect mode (as if the auto-connect option were set),
except that this only lasts until the next manual disconnect, or the system is rebooted.
—Sets the IP address or hostname that the Media Flow Controller uses when
or ssh-rsa2 username <username> identity <identity> —Sets the
push [username<username> password [<password>]
appliance, push the public key part of the specified identity onto the appliance (via
SSH). If the username and password are specified, those are used to log into
