Power Supply
As with all computer products, a stable power source is necessary for proper and reliable
operation. It is even more important for processors that have high CPU clock rates where noisy
power transmission is present.
The X14DBM- SP Hyper Server board accommodates two Supermicro proprietary power
supply units (PSU1/PSU2), two 6-pin +12 V power connectors (JPWR1/JPWR2), four 8-pin
+12 V power connectors (JPMW1–JPMW4), and three 16-pin power connectors (JPMW5–
JPMW7). Although most power supplies generally meet the specifications required by the
processors, some are inadequate. All these power connections are also required to ensure
adequate power supply to the system.
