Clutch lever adjustment

Adjust the clutch if the motor stops, or if
the vehicle moves forward with the clutch
activated and the gear inserted, or if the
clutch "slips", causing a delay in acceler-
ation with respect to the rpm.
Adjustment of minor pieces can be per-
formed using the register (1):

Slide the protective casing (2)
out.
Loosen the nut (3), unscrewing
it.
Turn the adjuster (1) until the
clearance at the extreme end of
the clutch lever is between 0.39
- 0.59 in (10 - 15 mm) (see fig-
ure).
Tighten (screwing in) the nut (3),
until the adjuster is locked in
place (1).
Check the free play at the end of
the clunch lever.
Reposition the protective casing
(2).
If the adjuster (1) is completely
screwed in, completely un-
screwed, and/or it is not possi-
ble to obtain the correct clear-
ance:
Slide the protective casing (2)
out.
Completely screw in the nut (3)
on the adjuster (1).
Completely tighten the adjuster
(1).

Régler l'embrayage lorsque le moteur
s'arrête ou le véhicule tend à avancer
avec le levier d'embrayage actionné et la
vitesse enclenchée, ou bien si l'embraya-
ge « patine », en causant un retard dans
l'accélération par rapport au nombre de
tours du moteur.
Les réglages de faible importance peu-
vent être effectués à l'aide du régulateur
(1) :
Extraire la coiffe de protection
(2).
Desserrer (en le vissant) l'écrou
(3).
Tourner le régulateur (1) jusqu'à
ce que la course à vide à l'ex-
trémité du levier d'embrayage
soit d'environ 0,39 - 0,59 in (10
- 15 mm) (voir la figure).
Serrer (en le dévissant) l'écrou
(3), et bloquer le régulateur (1).
Vérifiez la garde à l'extrémité de
la manette d'embrayage.
Repositionner la coiffe de pro-
tection (2).
Si le régulateur (1) est complè-
tement serré ou complètement
dévissé, ou bien s'il est impos-
sible d'obtenir la course à vide
correcte :
Extraire la coiffe de protection
(2).
Serrer complètement l'écrou (3)
sur le régulateur (1).
