Command reference
Details of all common commands (except those associated with the status model) are described
below.
Status command usage is contained in the
Identification query: *IDN?
Retrieves the identification string.
*IDN?
Command that reads ID information
The identification string includes the manufacturer, model number, serial number, and firmware
revision levels. This string is sent in the following format:
Keithley Instruments Inc., Model 2600B, xxxxxxx, yyyyy
Where:
xxxxxxx is the serial number
yyyyy is the firmware revision level
Operation complete and query: *OPC and *OPC?
Wait for pending overlapped commands to complete.
*OPC
Operation complete command that sets the OPC bit
*OPC?
Operation complete query that places a "1" in the output queue
When *OPC is sent, the OPC bit in the Standard Event Register (see
page D-1)) is set when all overlapped commands complete. The *OPC? command places an ASCII
"1" in the output queue when all previous overlapped commands complete.
Reset: *RST
Returns the instrument to default conditions.
*RST
Command that returns the instrument to default conditions
When the *RST command is sent, the instrument returns to the default conditions. This performs the
same actions as
