8.12 DISASSEMBLING THE SLATS

1. Perform all the operations for removing the right and left front side footrest tread belt "8.11.2
Disassembling the front side footrest guard") OR the right and left rear side footrest tread belt
("8.11.1 Disassembling the rear side footrest guard").
2. Remove the 4 self-locking nuts (10) (2 self-locking nuts per side). (TOOL: Long T-handle
wrench with 8 mm socket)
3. Remove the slat (11).
4. Remove the 2 plates (12). (1 plate per side).

8.12.1 REASSEMBLING THE SLATS

ATTENTION: when reassembling each individual slat (whether it is new or not) 4 NEW
SELF-LOCKING NUTS and 2 NEW PLATES MUST be used.
ATTENTION: Pay attention to the slat assembly direction.
ATTENTION: TIGHTENING EACH PAIR OF SELF-LOCKING NUTS: Tighten the first self-
locking nut with a tightening torque of 1.6 Nm (1.2 lbf-ft). Tighten the second self-locking
nut with a tightening torque of 1.6 Nm (1.2 lbf-ft). Retighten the first self-locking nut with a
tightening torque of 1.6 Nm (1.2 lbf-ft).
