Prev
DTE Line Framing Format. Designates the framing format for the DTE interface.
D4 – Configures for the D4 framing format.
ESF – Configures for the Extended Superframe framing format.

Prev
DTE Line Coding Format. Designates the line coding format to be used on the DTE interface.
AMI – Uses the Alternate Mark Inversion coding format.
B8ZS – Uses the Bipolar 8 Zero Suppression coding format.

DTE Line Equalization. Specifies the DTE line equalization compensation parameters that permit a standard DTE signal
to be delivered over a distance of up to 655 feet.

Prev
DTE Loopback on External Contact. Allows the control of a DTE Loopback (DLB) by an external contact on the DTE
interface.
Enab – Allows the CSU to begin a DLB when the external contact is closed. The CSU remains in DLB as long as the
contact remains closed.
Disab – Prevents the state of the external contact from affecting the operation of DLB.

Send Alarm Indication Signal (AIS) on Network Failure. Specifies the action to take on the signal transmitted to the DTE
when a valid signal cannot be recovered from the network interface (due to an LOS or OOF condition).
Enab – Sends an AIS to the DTE when an LOS or OOF condition occurs on the network.
Disab – Passes the failed network signal on to the DTE unchanged.

Prev
Transcode Yellow Alarm Signal to DTE. Specifies whether a yellow alarm signal received on the network interface is
transcoded and transmitted to the DTE. This configuration option does not appear if both the network and DTE interfaces
are set to the same format (either ESF or D4). For D4 format, a yellow alarm signal is sent by setting Bit 2 of each
timeslot to zero. For ESF format, a yellow alarm is sent by continuously sending 8 ones followed by 8 zeros on the Facility
Data Link (FDL).
Enab – Transcodes the signal transmitted to the DTE.
Disab – Disables transcoding.
