INDeX 9.1
Some PSTN providers support 3.1KHz audio services. These services increase the
reliability of analogue modem calls when routed over digital trunks.
You can set a station on the INDeX to request a 3.1KHz Audio service when routed
via a digital trunk. Note that the PSTN provider may not support the service or may
charge for the service and need to enable it first.
To set a Station as a modem port :
1. From the Administration menu, select Station and enter the station's directory
number.
2. Select Type and then select Modem Port.
The INDeX supports system alarms to users and groups of users. Up to 10 system
alarms can be set.
Each alarm includes a setting for which group or extension it should ring. Any group
member unavailable or busy at the time of the alarm does not receive it.
Individual users can also set their own personal alarms (refer to the appropriate
user guide).
To set a system alarm :
1. From the Administration menu, select System and then System Alarm and
enter the alarm number.
2. You can use the left and right cursor keys to select another alarm if required.
3. Alter the alarm setting as required:
– Alarm active :
Switch use of the alarm on or off.
– Type :
Select Ring (triple ring), System Music (the INDeX's external music on
source), ACA message (an ACA module in single play mode) or ACA
music (an ACA module in continuous play mode). (both ACA message

– Day :

or Week End) on which the alarm should occur.

Sets the user or user group for which the alarm is intended.
– ACA number (NA INDeX 30):

directory number of the module to be used.
